About Chez Lombard 2
Chez Lombard lies among vineyards and fields of sunflowers with lovely views of the Charente countryside. It is an ideal place for relaxing by the pool or, for the more energetic, walking or cycling on the quiet country roads.
The cottage has been recently restored but retains many of its original 
features. It is suitable for wheelchairs and there is safe access to the pool surrounds.
If you feel like venturing beyond Chez Lombard there are safe river beaches and lakes for canoeing and swimming within half an hour’s drive. There is a nine-hole golf course, moto-cross and horse riding at a similar distance.
Many pretty villages, restaurants and places of interest are nearby: Aubeterre, St Aulaye, Brantôme and the caves of the Périgord region. Cognac, the Bordeaux wine châteaux and Futuroscope at Poitiers make worthwhile outings. The lovely beaches around Royan are about an hour and a half’s drive away. There are fantastic surfing beaches to the west of Bordeaux.
There is another cottage at Chez Lombard – Chez Lombard 1 – which is linked to this one by a door. The properties can be booked together, making them ideal for groups of up to 14.
