 About Chez Gaty
Chez Gaty is in a little hamlet tucked away in the rolling hills of Charente on the Dordogne borders. It is a restored farmhouse, completely on its own at the end of a lane. An ideal place to unwind, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
 There is a courtyard and a quarter acre garden. There is parking in the barn. The pool is completely enclosed for safety and lies behind the barn.
The owner lives along the lane and is on hand if needed.
There are shops and supermarkets are within 9 and 10 kms. Restaurants are 4-5 kms.
There are plenty of interesting places to visit and things to do. Châteaux, vineyards, Romanesque churches and monolithic churches to visit. Canoeing and endless summer events to enjoy. Details of all these activities are in the house’s visitor book.
 Aubeterre, a hill top town, is about 15 kms away. It has an incredible ‘eglise monolithe ’, a church carved out of rock. Below the village is a beautiful river with canoeing facilities and tennis. Aubeterre also has many reasonably priced restaurants.
