Driving from the UK

If you’re going to drive your car from the UK, don’t forget to bring a GB sticker, a red warning triangle, a first aid kit and headlamp beam deflectors. These are all available from the AA or stores like Halford’s.

For a general idea of the area and the route from Angoulême, see the map. Specific directions to your cottage will be given to you after booking.

By train from UK and EEC

The train is fast and relaxing. You can take the TGV to Angoulême and hire a car there.

Fly to the Dordogne

The Dordogne has several regional airports. Flights are available from the UK to Bordeaux, Angoulême, Poitiers, La Rochelle, Limoges and Bergerac.
