Family Activities

For the active family there is plenty to do. Much centres around the Dordogne which meanders through the region. Boating, canoeing, swimming and fishing are all popular. You can also go horse riding or rock climbing.

For the cultural family there are many museums and châteaux. Prehistoric monuments including the caves at Lascaux, the cliff caves in the Vezère and the caverns of Grand Roc all make fascinating visits.

The amazing Les Jardins de l’Imaginaire recreate 13 gardens from different centuries and civilisations. Le Thot, a prehistoric theme park, conjures up Cro-Magnon life 30,000 years ago and makes a great day out. And of course, no trip would be complete without a trip to Futuroscope, the digital theme park.
